Today, we proudly introduce 'Kieswaizer,' an innovative and experimental online tool. At 9to5, we have a passion for two things: innovation and simplification. With Kieswaizer, we've brought both elements together in a new in-house project. This smart technological solution harnesses the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to guide voters in comparing their political preferences.
Over the past 2 months, we've worked diligently on this highly unique tool, transforming it from a lunchtime idea into a functional tool by combining our team's strengths.
Backend
The backend, which powers Kieswaizer, is driven by Phoenix Elixir with WebSockets. This enables us to facilitate real-time communication and updates between users and our server. Consequently, we can process answers immediately and generate accurate recommendations without delay.
Frontend
For the user interface, we opted for Nuxt and Vue, as these modern JavaScript frameworks provide a seamless and responsive user experience. They empower us to create an intuitive and appealing interface that allows you to navigate the voting process effortlessly.
Privacy is of utmost importance to us, which is why we've integrated Plausible to track our website statistics. This enables us to collect and analyze visitor data in a privacy-friendly manner without compromising your personal information.
AI
It's fair to say that we encountered some challenges during the development of Kieswaizer, particularly when working with AI and implementing prompt engineering correctly. It took time and effort to achieve the desired results, but with dedication and even more dedication, we've overcome these obstacles. We've now become true experts in using these techniques to make Kieswaizer even better.
Marketing
As a bonus, we've used Kieswaizer as an opportunity to experiment with digital marketing strategies for our own company. This allowed us to gain valuable insights and further develop our skills in this area.
